Our Story

Inception

From twiddling around with spare copper wires to recycling 180 tonnes of plastic and copper, I have come a long way since the inception of my project. Reacting on my experience I have realized that the worth of any object or service depends on the perspective of the beholder. Where many before me saw waste, I saw an opportunity to recycle and create objects of their own right. Further, my experience taught me to look beyond my sphere and understand the complex social webs weaved into our industries and daily life

With every passing year, a growing toxic fog creeps over the northern belt of India as the dreaded pollution season sets in along with the cold. The reasons behind this pollution are multifarious: toxic fumes from vehicles, dust and smoke from industrial factories, crop burning, and fumes from burning industrial waste.

In the lieu of playdates and summer camps, my school holidays were often spent at my family’s manufacturing units when I was a child. Instead of toys and colours, I played with PVC plastic pipes or discarded copper wires, which I refashioned into momentary objects of amusement. As I created one object after another, my young mind began to grapple with the idea of recycling as revisiting the untapped creativity hidden in materials often discarded as waste.
First, I hope to expand our initiative to undertake the disposal of various types of industrial waste generated in other industries, including cardboard, wood, cloth, and e-waste. Based on the insights collected and relationships formed through recycling plastic in our industry, I am building a team of industry experts and advisors to offer consulting services to other companies for reducing waste, incorporating sustainable policies, and moving to cleaner technologies and inputs for the production process

After setting up the waste disposal system in the factories, we have managed to recycle approximately 180 tonnes of industrial waste, that would have otherwise been burnt. From the industrial scrap, on an average, the company is able to extract 11.5 tonnes of copper and process 15-17 tonnes of plastic through the machine each month. While the plastic is separated and sold to other entities, who refashion it into other objects, the copper extracted from the scraps is recycled and reused within the factory itself. likewise several factories were studied by us individually and personalized recycling solutions were optimized for each.
